I dusted myself off for the....well, I dusted myself off. Gotta at least try look good for the faire tonight. The bartender, Edward, gave us the privlage to take baths. Which, for us, is a real treat. At least we didn't stink as much. I geared up my guns, even though I'm gonna have ta give 'em up. Its only one short night, it won't be too bad. I heard a knock on the door, and Bell poked her head through. She said, "Hey. You goin somewhere?" I said, "I figured hell wouldn't freeze over if we had a little fun tonight." She smiled and said, "Yeah right. I saw that girl you couldn't stop looking at."
My face burned. "Just, go get the others so we can return the money and all that." She giggled and left. That girl is gonna be the death of me. I looked out the window. Night is already here, and the moon and stars lit up the sky quite nicely. I saw the girl and her boss walking out of their house and walking to the clock tower for the faire.
We dropped the bags of money behind the counter. I would've left a note, but I don't know how to write. Anyway, when we got to the faire, I saw that the town had a pretty nice set-up. They had a stage in the middle, with a platform for couples of all kinds to dance. A group of musicians had a platform on top of the platform, in the back, so that the music can be heard well, but the stage won't be in anyone's way. They had a table filled with foods that'd make any mother jealous. I even saw some booth that had little iron/wooden figures that'll pop up. I saw a man shooting at the little figurines with a provided gun, and he was doing rather poorly. All that was in the distance, we still have to drop off our guns.
"Guns please. We don't want no shoot outs tonight." Said the old man at the desk. I nodded and said, "Of Course." I dropped off my guns. I think he was rather surprised that I was carrying four revolvers and a shotgun. After I was done he said, "What? That it?" I smiled and waited for the others to unload their stuff. The old man and the Sheriff, who was standing by for potential trouble-makers, were watching us in amazement. Bell only had two revolvers. Antonio dropped off the wenstenchester and his revolver. Doc decided to leave our "secret weapon" back in the rooms. He dropped off his revolvers, pushed his glasses back up, and joined us. Butch was last. He dropped off his revolvers and Double-Barrel Shotgun. He was about to walk through when the Sheriff standing by stopped him. "Your knife too, son."
Butch looked at me. That knife had been his dad's. He always kept it close, even when he was asleep. It had sentamental value. I nodded to reassure him. It'll be alright. He hesitantly took out the knife and set it down on the table. The Sheriff let him through. "Have fun at the faire!" He called out to us. We waved back. "We will!" Bell said for us.
Now, time to find that Flower.
