I was in school, at lunch. I was bored out of my mind, This was the day I didn't get to see my friends. I was in a daydream when a random person sat at the table. I said in surprise, "Pandora." She nodded. She had a small box with a skull on it, and a lunch bag. She was staying here, she was just a scared girl looking for her place in the world. Isn't that what we all are. I tried to start a conversation with her. "So, did you find a room that you like, yet?" She shook her head. Then she said, "Well, the one called Amy offered. But I'm not to sure if I can trust anyone here." I smiled. "You don't have to worry about that. We super powered types got to stick together, right?" She eyeballed me. She knew I didn't have any super powers. I said, "Well, you super power types, and I, got to stick together. I'm as much as an outsider as the other guys." She nodded.
The floors shook. I looked at the far side of the room, at the windows, and I saw the same old villain that fails at life. Dr. Quake. I'm not kidding. He's a whack-job scientist, who uses these gauntlets that create sonic vibrations in the Earth, or anything for that matter. He's convinced that all super humans are connected in a genetic way, or something like that. He wants the source of them so he can become famous. He may be a joke around the lunch table, but he can be a serious threat if he had to.
Even from this distance I could see that something was awfully strange about him-I mean, stranger than usual. He usually had a mullet for his brown-turning-white hair, a blue leather jacket, goggles, ragged slacks and combat boots. He was never one for cleanliness or fashion. This time however he looked, different. Was he shorter? He looked a little brighter, even; like something out of a cartoon.
He got within a few feet of the school, and, in a totally different voice, he said "My Monsters! Attack the Heroes!" The monsters came out from behind him, also like in a cartoon. What the heck is going on? He couldn't pull monsters out of thin air like this!
The six or seven monsters attacked the school. One of which was a floating eyeball, used something to melt the wall. before the two-headed dog could get the kids closest to the wall, something slammed into it.
I realized that it was Kenny, using his powers to slam a streetlamp into it. Jessie came from behind him and raised the dead. The twelve skeletons, who were wielding maces, spears, and swords, ganged up on the monsters. Mira came around too, and started blasting away, with her laser-rainbow powers.
I watched as the monsters gotten beat up, but what I realized is that the monsters were winning, in a way. A lizard monster got jabbed with a spear, but the skeletons might as well be poking at gelatin. Plus, whenever a Skeleton bashed one of them on the head, you would see a big knot form and it would go back down, again, just like in an old cartoon. Mira and Kenny's attacks were to no avail.
What is going on here?
