TL&TOHJ~Hope: A Temporary Alliance

She back handed me and sent me skidding on my back across the mall. I actually skidded into a store and out of sight. I was so sleepy all of the sudden. I thought I saw two figures standing over me before I passed out, but I couldn't figure out who they are.


I leaned down and cradled my little sister in my arms. Her friend, Devlin, was right beside me. I was already here, running an errand for the school. I hid when the girl began her attack, to see if I could stop her somehow. He said he followed her here. I heard what they were saying in the Food court. I always suspected that the Hero on the news had something to do with her, but I never would have guessed.... I picked her up and went to the back of the store, she's still alive, but that is going to be one nasty bruise on her head. "We need to get her out of here." I said to the one called Devlin. He nodded in agreement. He said, "I think I know someone who can help." Before I could protest, he got up and ran out.


I ran into the bathroom. I don't want to run the risk of someone discovering my secret by a well placed camera. I clicked my watch and it changed me into my other form. This could be my chance to take that power, and even if it isn't I can't let that idiot girl flaunting around with it.


I flew out and over to the girl with the bracelet. She turned from the employees to me. "Who the Hell are you?" I simply glared at her. I held the air in front of me and a sphere of energy formed. My hunting the past few days have had little success, but none the less, proven useful. I threw the sphere at her and it landed on her face. She blocked it and laughed. "Ha! Is that all ya got?" She flew and performed an uppercut that sent me through the roof.


That bracelet gave the wearer more power than I originally thought. I while I was up there I saw a third party coming in. It is the energy being, and it appears he brought along a few mechanized friends. This should be interesting. I flew down to where they were.


I said, "If you know what's good for you I suggest you turn away now." The being stopped and looked at me. He said, "I'm looking for my old girlfriend. My bosses tell me she's in there." Bosses, huh? "Black hair? Total brat?" I asked. He nodded. "Perhaps there is cause for a temporary alliance? You want her, I want want her power. We can work together on this." He thought about it, then gave what I could guess is a smile. "Deal." he said.
