TL&TOHJ~Hope: Soooooo Much Trouble

I got back from gym. I was talking to Candy as usual. "I am so hungry! I could eat a horse." I said. Candy was laughing a little, "You do that. I'll settle for what's at the lunch line." "You're willing to take that risk, with their food?" I gasped, joking with her. We entered the locker room and changed. It wasn't till after I got out when I noticed my bracelet was missing.

"Candy! Candy! I lost my bracelet!" Her eyes got wide. We ran back into the locker room and searched the floors, asking other girls, we were freaking out. The gym teacher came in and said, "What's going on girls?" I ran up to her. "I can't find my bracelet! It's silver with a red ruby on top, have you seen it?" She shook her head. "Nope, sorry ladies." I turned to Candy. I whispered very softly, "What are we going to do? Somebody is seriously going to get hurt if they figure out how to use that thing!"

Candy held up her hands. "Hold on, hold on. We need to be calm about this, OK? We just need to keep a sharp eye out for it; we'll tell other people we know to keep an eye out for it too, OK? It's gotta be somewhere around here." I nodded, and took a couple of deep breaths. "You're right. OK, now let's think about this. Who would be able to have access to the locker rooms, and who would have the opportunity to sneak in here, while everyone else is outside?" We thought about it as we walked outside to our next period. Candy said, "Didn't Brenda stay behind, or something?" I froze. If Brenda had my bracelet, and figured out how to use it.....we could be in some serious trouble.

I saw Brenda's usual pose' outside of her classroom. I asked where she went, they ignored me. Devlin came by and he saw me in trouble here. He said, "Please, allow me." He turned to one of the girls. "Excuse me miss?" He put a hand on her shoulder, which made her spin around. She looked into his eyes with disgust. Then they seemed to widen a bit. He asked very politely, "May I know the whereabouts of your friend, Brenda?" She nodded and just stared out like she was in a trance. She then said, "She left about an hour ago. She said she wanted to test something out." He continued. "Did she say where, specifically?" She shook her head no.

I asked, "Was she wearing something new? Something you haven't seen before?" She nodded. "She had these ear rings...." "Anything else?" Devlin asked. He probably saw that my bracelet was missing. She thought about it. "She had this pretty silver bracelet, I don't think they make those in stores." Devlin nodded. "Thank you. Your time is appreciated." He turned and walked off. The girl shivered and turned back to her friends, scared.

I asked, "Dev. How'd you do that?" He shrugged. "Sometimes, you just need to know how to talk to people." OK. Whatever. I said, "OK, now its worse, Brenda left the school with my bracelet. She could be anywhere!" Just then, Link buzzed.

Great, now there are people in danger and I can't help them! I took Link out and put it to my ear. "Danger level 4. Unknown suspect. Suspected to be Haley. Jackson View Mall. Jackson Street." I know where that is! But how do I get there? I looked outside and saw a moped, its driver was a senior who was busy talking to another girl.

I am going to be in soooooooo much trouble after this.
