We crawled in the grass up to the camp of those cowboys. It was just Doc and me on this end. I mean 'I'. I never finished school. There was Antonio and Butch on the other end. Bell was a mile or two back, tending the horses. May God strike me if I let her get involved in this stuff. There were ten, no, eleven of them. They must've been planning on something big, or maybe they already did. Doesn't matter, they won't get the chance to do anything else.
We were borrowing one of those Indian tactics. They're actually pretty smart, even without the whole school thing. We waiting for doc to take the shot. After that, Hell will be unleashed. He zoned in on his gun. He took one down and the rest of them looked at him then tried to search the range to see what shot him. Butch used his double barrel shotgun and got a couple of them. Antonio shot one a couple of times with his Winchester till he was dead. The Cowboys were scrambling and panicking and getting their pants on. Doc was still aiming and firing. I stood up and began firing at them with my two revolvers. One by one they fell. This was too easy!
They were all dead. Not so tough when your not terrorizing decent towns, huh? "Hey, Charlie!" I turned to Antonio. He waved a bunch of dollars in the air. "We just hit the jack pot, Senior!" I walked over to the bag he hovered over. There were a bunch of dollars in there. "They must have robbed a bank." I said. The thief smiled. "I don't think I've ever been happier senior!" I grabbed the bag and tugged it away from him. "Its not yours, Antonio. We are going to the closest town here and dropping it by the bank." He was angry now. "If they cared so much about their money, they should have gotten good security!" I could see Doc and Bell coming over the horizon. "We are going to put the money back where it belongs. Can we justify ourselves any better then them?" I pointed my gun to the dead cowboy next to me. Antonio folded his arms under his poncho and pouted. He was mumbling under his breath in Spanish. Bell said, "I saw a coach in the distance while I was out there. It was going east. That way." She pointed where. I smiled. Good girl. "Alright everyone! Get the ammo, the water, the food, whatever money you can carry and whatever else ya'll need, and get outta here."
