TL&TOHJ~Hope: Thomas Morrison

I wanted to go with them. I really wanted to. But they decided to go to each other's homes, one at a time. Plus, Goliath and Angel refuse to go back to their normal forms until Gemini finds a way to hide his powers. Great bunch of kids, I hope they'll be OK. It started snowing, I expected as much. It was just the beginning of December. It always snowed out here. I noticed that I didn't feel cold, at all. I guess I built certain immunities, like certain temperatures.

I was flying home. I checked my inbox on my phone, Dad says he got the partner set-up. He's not telling me before I get home. I hope I don't miss curfew this time. I got home with two minutes to spare. I clicked my bracelet and went inside. I said 'Hey' and checked the mail. I gotta say I was a little curious. I opened the seal and looked inside.

Name: Morrison, Thomas
Age: 17
Hair: Dirty Blond
Eyes: Gray
Condition: Paralyzed from the waist down.
Reason: Car crash, about a year ago.

Paralyzed? Oh, My Gosh. He must still be getting use to this. I bet his parents put him him up to this. There was a picture along with the letter. Thomas........Why does that name sound so familiar?

The next day, after school we went to the meeting center for everyone to meet their partners. I kept looking at the paper for the correct room number. Lets see, room C-4. My parents thought it would be better if I went to meet Thomas by myself. Oh, here's the room. I took a deep breath. I opened the door to a room that no one was in. No one except the kid in the bed, who was turned over and sleeping. I said, "Uh, You wouldn't be Thomas Morrison, would you?" His response was, "Go away." How rude. "I, uh, I think you may be my partner for the next four weeks." He said, "What part of 'Go away' did you not understand, kid?" I said, "Come on. That's no way to be. Your like, what, seventeen? And you're acting like my baby brother." He pick something up from the table next to him and turned to throw it at me. I ducked just in time. I got a good look at his face as the heavy bottle of medicine clanged on the floor. He saw me and froze after that.

He said, "Do......do I know you?" I snapped back. "I don't know. Do you throw stuff at everybody, or am I just that special?" He was glaring again. He said, "If we're gonna have to be together, you have to know I am not as helpless as you think." I said nothing. Mostly because, well, that was what part of me was thinking. The rest of me didn't know what to think. I said, "I wasn't thinking that." "Yeah right." I changed the subject without meaning to. "I really think I've seen you somewhere." We looked at each other in the eyes.

I realized who he was, but I didn't let it show.
