Dexter used one of his gadgets to cut an opening in the gate. He entered last. We got to the wall and pressed our backs against it. Dexter whispered, "We need to go into groups. Kenny, you and Mira go and search the basement. Jessie, Noel go to the first floor. Grossman and I will check the third floor. Subdue the guards, if you see her, no heroics. Just contact the others. The rest of the apartment complex will be in town soon. Are we clear?" We all nodded. "Move Out." He ordered. He was really taking charge here.
We moved to the lobby. Kenny and Mira went towards the basement. Grossman and Dexter went to the stairs. The lobby desk was empty, except for the spattered blood on the papers on the desk. Yeah, she was here. I looked at the hallways on the sides of the desk. The lights were flickering, so I barely saw the silhouette at the end. I know Dexter said no heroics, but I couldn't help myself. "Jessie! Down here!" I said as I ran to the end. Jessie was right behind me. I ran through the door and it opened to monitoring room. It overlooked a giant wedge shaped room; lining the walls were pathways with doors on them that led to the prisoner's cells. All the doors were open. What was worse is that there were bodies all over the place, both guard and prisoner uniforms were among them. I saw the same silhouette on one of the walkways. "There she is!" I said. I ran through the door that leads to the cells, Red ducked into one of the shower rooms. I heard the door leading into the center shut. I turned to see a black......thing, closing the door and blocking what is probably the only exit. It opened an eye that shined like a search light, it also gave a wicked inhuman grin; and now its coming at me. I ran into the same shower room that Red ran into. She didn't attack me when she saw me, I'm hoping I'll get a similar result. I slammed the door shut.
I turned to red, except she wasn't there. The silhouette there had the same one eye and had the same inhumanly wicked grin from that thing outside. It split in two. One went down the drain, the other tucked itself at the edges of the door. Water started spilling through the nozzle. There was so much water pressure the nozzle broke off and water just kept coming. The water wasn't going down the drain.
Whatever these things are, they want me gone; and now they're trying to drown me!
