Cyrus Noble II Ch. 4: Gettng the Facts Straight

I made my way to the Elementary school. I entered the Principal's Office to find Magnet, Sara, and another little kid with a cap, he was holding an ice pack to his eye. That one was crying, Sara was rubbing her arm, and Magnet had his arms folded with a stubborn look on his face. I looked at Principal Smith. She was a rather aged woman. I met her ounce to basically sign Magnet up for the school.
"Mr. Noble. Please sit down." She said, gesturing towards the chair in front of her. I sat down, "What's up?" I asked. She cocked an eyebrow. "The young Magnet here has punched a good student in the eye, for no apparent reason." I flickered a smile without meaning to. "I doubt it." I said, really saying it towards the 'good student' part. "Why don't I hear the story from the actual people involved?" I gestured for Magnet and Sara to come here. They did so without question.
Beside me, Sara said, "I was playing and a big kid came over and he pushed me over and called me the 'a' word and Magnet came outta nowhere and punched him in the face." I nodded. Magnet's turn. "I was walking around in recess and I saw that jerk-face push her over! I wasn't going to sit there and let him do it!" I looked at the teacher. "Why do the kids have recess all at ounce?" She said, "It was a special day, for some of the students to meet each other." I turned back towards wimpy over there. "What about you?" I asked. He didn't respond.
The Principal answered for me. "He is one of our most behaved students. He was asking her if she wanted to play." No he wasn't. Sara thought to me. He never told the truth, ever. He's also the Principal's grandson. Oh, great. Now she's playing favorites. "Just because he's your grandson, means he's automatically telling the truth?" She looked appalled by that. "How dare.....How did you know he was....." I pointed to Sara. "I told you before, we are not like regular kids. It seems that your grandson never actually got caught in the lying game." She looked at the kid, astonished.
"Before you start judging people, Mrs. Smith, I suggest you get the facts straight." The final bell rang. "I'm guessing we're free to go?" She just nodded and stared off into space. I grabbed Magnet's and Sara's hands. I walked them to their classrooms to get their stuff. We went and met up with the others. Jazz handed me my bag and we walked home together.
