TL&TOHJ~Hope: My First Day of Problems

Devlin was right. If those lights did hit other people, the city could be in some serious trouble. I need to find the other lights, or their owners. Maybe we can become a super hero group! Like the Justice Friends, or The Hero Buddies. Meh, the name needs work, and speaking of which, if I'm a super hero now what name am I going to have? What are people going to call me? Lord knows if I leave it to the media, I'll become Super Sally Girl, or maybe even worse. I shuddered at the possibilities.

I was at my locker, and my Link buzzed. Oh come on! Not even first period yet! Oh, that's what Paul calls it. Link. I don't know why. I picked up Link and put the piece to my ear. It buzzed, "Level six Threat detected. Bank robbery. In progress. Hostage situation. Vickson Avenue." Wow. Paul said that it puts a threat level on the situation. Depending on how many people are in danger, it will scale it from one to ten. If it's a four or below, than it won't even buzz. Awesome huh?

I went to the girl's bathroom and changed into the "Not-Yet-Named-Hero", and flew out the window they had in there. I got to the bank and dropped down to the building over. Lets see, police officers have yet to be here. OK. This'll be simple. I dropped down and walked in.

It was quiet. It looks like they took out the security cameras. I saw the people tied up and gagged. They were gesturing something, they wanted me to get out. I put my finger to my lips, and winked. I floated to the ceiling, they came strolling in. They were wearing Halloween masks. The leader apparently was talking, "That safe is going to be tough to crack. You get to choose what hostages we get to take. Don't worry about the police, we called them already. We see even one boy in blue, we kill them all here." The second guy laughed, "Yeah, that would be a real shame, wouldn't it?" He said this while gesturing to some of the women in front of the desk. I got mad at that point. I whistled, making them look up. I slammed my feet down on leader and punched the other one in the face. That sent him flying. I flew to the back and encountereed seven other guys surrounding the safe. They were so easy. I was holding back a bit, I don't want to end up killing anybody.

After I was done, I went back to the main room, and ripped the ropes off of three people. I looked at the clock. Crap! I'm late! How was that fifty minutes?

I said, "Look, call the police, tell them its safe now. Those guys are not going to wake up any time soon." They smiled nervously. I guess they're a bit shaken. I flew out the door and went in through the same window I left through. I went into the stall and clicked my bracelet. I ran to first period, just in time for the bell to ring, for class to end. The teacher there said, "In case you're confused, Miss Jones, Your late. Here is the assignment you missed. You have until tommorow to finish it." I took the paper. "I don't have you tommorrow." "Stop by inbetween classes. I would recommend a watch, as soon as you can get it, Miss Jones." The class was snickering as they left. I should have thought about school when I agreed to being a secret super hero.

At least its in November, when the school year is close to being half way over.
