81+1 Heroes Ch. 22: Why I am Mad at Dexter (or Meeting Amy)

I thought it would be a good idea to go, with like fifty of our guys in disguise and watching us from afar. I told this to Dexter, but he said that there are two problems. One is that we don't know what to expect, except that a limo is going to pick them up outside the apartment and then flown to somewhere. The second is that we don't have fifty guys to begin with. Heroes have been going missing since the summer started. Mainly the more powerful ones. Just vanished. Dexter has been searching for them, but between school work and his little sister he can't put forward the amazing effort he usually gives.

"So. What are we going to do?" I asked now that we are back in Dexter's Lab. He says over his shoulder while typing a command into the Computer. "Don't take this personally, but we, as in me and one of the others, are going to go to the party to investigate. You, however, are staying here so that you, uh, don't become a liability" I crossed my arms over my chest. "That's a load of crap, Dexter and you know that." I could defend myself pretty decently, and he knew it. He turned away from his computer. "It is set. On Tuesday night I will go there with Phoebe, while you, Mira, and Jessie stay and watch my sister. Kenny, Grossman, and the others will monitor us to see whats going on." No Way was I going to let him get away with this. I'm going to go to that party and I am going to look SO hot AND Professional that he will have to admit it.

Someone buzzed on Dex's door. It was a girl I haven't seen before. She had panicked look on her face. Like something bad was happening, or going to happen. While standing there glaring at Dexter, I wondered what it she wants. She's cute, a real guy grabber. Dexter said through the mike, "Hi Amy. What's up?" She said back, "Dex! Let me in! Its an emergency!" Without hesitation Dexter pushed the button and let her in. While he did this, he said, "We're in the main computer room." She ran up to us out of breath. Now that she was in person and in color I could get a better look at her. She was a head taller than me. She had long white hair with a pink highlight on some of her bangs, blue eyes with tinges of silver in them, she had a tiny tatoo of a star on her cheek, she wore some simple jeans, a white T-shirt and a pair of dirty grey shoes.

She said, "I had a vision! In my dream! You and Red and..." She looked at me. "And YOU!" I was starting to be a little freaked out. "Uh....Who is this?" Dexter stood up from his chair. "Don't worry. This is Amy. She sees certain outcomes of the future in her sleep. She can never see them completed though. Always the event, never the outcome. She rarely gets visions though. That's why she ran down here. Now Amy, calm down and tell me what happened." She took a deep breath, then she started fumbling around with the sketchbook she was holding. I never noticed she had it. She flipped to a page and showed it to Dexter and me, during this she said, "Its a long story, but look."

The Picture showed Me, Dexter, and Little Red, fierce looking and ready for battle. On the other side of the page, was the creature I saw in the prison the night we went looking for Red. It was the Wolf.

My friends and I are going to fight That Thing?
