Cyrus Noble II Ch. 3: Megan just Cried

I went straight to the middle school, a little ahead of the teacher. She explained that no one was in any mortal danger, but still, if something is wrong then I need to be there. We entered the Principal's office. There were three boys about Megan's age sitting out front. I glared at them as I entered. Megan was sitting in front of the principal in a chair, with Angie next to her. She was crying. That is what pissed me off the most. My kids have broken bones and gotten some deep cuts without ever shedding a tear, the only other time she cried was when Longarm betrayed us. Whatever they did, they better hope I never meet them alone......in any place.

I knelt down next to her and rubbed the area between her wings. She liked that, it comforted her. "What happened?" I asked, almost demanding it. Principal Willaker began to explain, "A group of boys pulled up her shirt in the middle of gym class, when they thought the teacher was looking the other way." I looked at her, and she nodded. "You won't need to worry about them anymore. They are being suspended immediately, and their parents are getting a call, and they have to write a five page essay on what they did and why it was wrong. It will count as a quarter of their grade." I raised an eyebrow. I think I can work with this guy. I knew she wasn't hurt physically, but I asked anyway, "Are you OK?" She nodded a little. "Do you think you can make it for the last period of the day?" She didn't respond.

"You want me to stay here for you till you calm down a bit?" She nodded. I gave her a hug. She and Angie left, I turned to Principal Willaker. "Thanks, for everything." I shook his hand, and he smiled. "No problem."

I walked out and turned to the kids sitting there. I folded my arms and glared at them. I said, "Congratulations. You made a little girl cry. I hope your proud of yourselves." They quivered in their seats. I think I scared them enough. I left with Megan and Angie. We sat on the benches that were placed just outside the office. She leaned on my shoulder and continued to choke back sobs and calm down a bit. When she did calm down we sat up. "You good?" She smiled a bit and nodded. "I'll meet you outside in an hour or two. OK?" She nodded and started to walk off. Angie joined her.

A teacher walked by she said, "You are a very responsible young man." I blushed, said "Thanks" and walked out. When another teacher ran through the door. She stopped me. "Are you Cyrus?" I gave her a confused look. "Yeah?" "We need to talk about your child, Magnet."

Here we go again.
