I took a deep breath as it was early in the morning. Everyone was at the table, nobody said anything. We just continued to eat our breakfast, which was consisted of Pop-Tarts, Breakfast Hot Pockets, and Cereal. Viktor was already finished, he said, "I still say this is a bad idea." I sighed. "We've been over this. The state requires we do this. Besides, how bad could school be?" They all groaned.
"Come on guys." I looked around. Magnet and Sara were going to elementary school. Megan was going to middle school, at least she'll be in the same part of it as Angie, who is in the eighth grade. Its the roller coaster of high school for us three. I can honestly say, I'm glad that its not one of those private schools with the uniforms. We were going to someplace called, uh, Richardson, a new school that just got done with construction. They had three buildings across from each other, the elementary school on one side, and the middle and high schools on the other. I said, "Look, we fought mutants, cyborgs, robots, and, in some situations, a combination of the three. School can't be that bad, it's already November. We don't have too long for Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Spring break, and soon enough, Summer Break. Plus, if you all behave, and not use your powers, I will go out and buy all of you ice cream."
They all smiled a little, but they didn't look too motivated. They all looked like they were going to a funeral. Sara thought into my head, "Cyrus, we don't like being away from each other. Everybody just wants to be together." Normally I would give her a serious talking to about reading the minds of everybody here, but I decided against it. We all a little shaken by this whole 'school' thing. I sighed. "C'mon guys. We should get going. Zeus." The bird cocked its head at me. "Keep watch over the house, will ya?" It just looked at me like, What are you, crazy?
We all had to walk, since the school is just down the road from our country home. We got to the elementary school, a teacher was there to greet us and help Magnet and Sara to their classrooms. I got down on one knee and held on to their shoulders. "Its going to be OK guys. Who knows? This may be a little fun for you guys." Magnet stood up straight. "I ain't afraid of nothing." He said in the bravest voice he could think of. I gave them both a hug. "I'll see you guys in no time." I least I hope its in no time. They went with Miss, Whatever-her-name-is inside.
Megan's turn. We met Angie outside. She said, "Hey guys! Megan, The principal let me have the day off so I can help you around." Megan nodded. That seemed to comfort her a little more. She gave each of us a hug and left with Angie. Angie was really starting to stare at Viktor with some emotion in her eyes. What's her deal?
We were next, into the Lion's Den we go. Since Viktor was blind, he had to share a schedule with me. I don't mind, I just feel sorry for Jazz. She has one or two classes with me and Vik, but that's it.
We all entered the ever infamous roller coaster, that is High School.
