Ares made the first move. He fired and the bullets didn't even make a dent. He exchanged it for a huge sword that was two feet in width, and at the least six feet in length. He slashed and I countered, disarming him, knocking him across the room, and he laid there, out cold. Cerberus regrouped and began to morph. He seemed to melt into a big dog with three big heads. I instantly ran up to it. I jumped on it's back, dodging snapping teeth. I dug the claws deep and held on for the doggy rodeo. I was close enough to the middle head so that I could punch it, so I did. After five minutes of this he slowed and staggered. He then fell on his stomach and turned back into his human form. A Punch to the back of the head can cause a concussion. 72 stainless steel punches can cause death, however since this delinquent has superhuman powers I believe he's just knocked out. That's one big knot he's got on his head.
I made a B-line to Maximus. Then I heard the com link in my helmet. "Dex? Hello? If you read this, we got Noel. Making our way to the helicopter now." OK. Now I just need to distract him enough to get my friends out of here. "You lose, Maximus." He raised an eyebrow. "Did I? Believe it or not, 'Boy Genius', it has only just begun." I glared at him. I don't know if he can see it through the helmet lenses, but he seemed to glare back. At that moment the doors burst opened, and my friends came rushing in, Noel being carried by Wally and Grossman.
"Looks like we have to finish this, another time." I said, starting to walk off. He grabbed my shoulder and spun me around with such speed and force. "No." He said. "I'll kill you and get you out of my hair right now!" He punched me and I went soaring. My helmet flew off in pieces.
Subject seems to have superior strength. I said to the others. "Get out of here! I'll hold him off! Ivan! Start the engines!" Alice came out to help Noel onto the copter. I looked at Pandora, she was knocked out cold. I guess she was being manipulated by Maximus, and I couldn't just leave her therre for worse to happen. "Bianca! Get Pandora!" She hesitated, but she picked her up, Box still tight in the girl's grip. I sprinted towards a very rich and very ticked Superman. I tried to cut him, but he used his speed and strength to grab and tear off the arm of my suit.
OK. Maybe I can go for a money shot. Please excuse the pun. I pressed a button on my gauntlet, it will divert all power to the strength in the glove. That includes my saber arm (which is no longer with me), my helmet, and my legs. I swung one punch towards the face of Maximus, followed by a back hand and then a full on hook. The hook actually sent him flying. I decided this would be a good time to make my escape. My gauntlet was completely broken I ripped it off and proceeded to the chopper. It was two feet off the ground and I jumped on. Noel was in a seat, strapped in and dazed looking. She looked at me and gave a goofy smile. "Hey......did you save me again?" She said wiggling her finger at me. I sat beside her. "In a way, yes." She punched the air, and muttered. "Butterfingers. I owe you two lives." She said, making a piece sign and waving them in the air. She yawned and laid her head on my shoulder. I know she was out of it, they must have had her under some form of sedative. Her mother is not going to like this. "You don't owe me anything." I whispered.
We got back to the apartment. It was still daylight, and school was starting to let out. I carried Noel up to her room and knocked on the door. Her mother answered and stared at Noel in horror. This is going to be a long rest of the day.
