81+1 Heroes Ch. 16: It Is ON

I rechecked the batteries for my weapon for the fifth time. I was so nervous. Never have I sweat over something like this, not since my dad said he was coming home. "Dex, You OK?" I turned to Grossman. "Yeah, just fine. I guess I'm a bit shaken by the situation at hand." He nodded. "Don't worry Dex. We'll find her." I gave him a smile and continued to walk on forward. I was probably one of the luckiest kids on this Earth. I am surrounded by the greatest friends anyone could have found. Especially Noel, she moved here less than a month ago, and she does everything she can to help me. She read My Little Red a story. She didn't respond to it as usual. But, none-the-less, I admire her courage and her compassion. My earpiece is vibrating. I answered, "Yes?" Jessie sounds panicked. "Dex! Dex! Its Noel! She saw Red, and I tried to follow her, but the door slammed and she was being chased by something, and now she's trapped in the shower, and I'm trapped in the control room and I CAN'T DO ANYTHING!" I stopped her before she passed out due to lack of breath. "Take it easy, Jessie. What is your position?" A few deep breaths later she said, "I'm in the control room overlooking the prison cells. Please hurry, I don't know what's happening in there." I responded, "On our way." I turned to Grossman. "Let's go."

{Noel's POV (Point Of Veiw)}

I don't know how much air I have in here. If I get out of here the big black......whatever it is, it's going to eat me, or something. If I don't get out of here, I'm gonna run out of air. The water was up to my waist now. There is one thing I haven't tried. I took out the pistol and aimed for the door. I knew this wasn't an ordinary gun. I fired and a little ball of blue light shot out and hit the door. I cried out in shock. OK, That didn't work. Not even a dent. What is this stuff made of? OK. Don't worry Jessie and the others can contact each other, someone is coming to help me out. Although I hope they hurry, because I don't know how to swim.

{Dexter's POV}

We finally made it to the Jail cells, we were on the third rack of cells. I saw Jessie at the observatory. She was banging the glass with her fist, she then pointed at one of the doors. I followed her gaze and I saw what she was looking at. There it was a big black.....I don't know what to call it. It looks like a wolf, a wolf made of fire, if the fire was pitch black and moved by itself. It had one eye that shown like a flashlight, and a wicked smile that did the same thing. It was pacing in front of the door. I pulled out my pistol and opened fire. That got it's attention and, if anything, it's grinning even bigger than before.

Perhaps I should have re-strategised this plan before executing.
