It was late, and the kids were in bed. The funniest thing happened. Sara fell asleep on the couch and I had to carry her to bed. When I set her down and put the covers over her, she said 'Goodnight, Daddy.' You see its funny, cause she thought I was her......dad.
What am I doing? I don't know how to be a dad. I'm freaking sixteen, roughly, and I don't remember anything about myself since before the day I went a-wol. I was kicking back on the roof, looking at the stars. Being out in the country is nice. The city in the distance still blocks out most of them. But its still a great thing to see. It seems to clear my head. I saw Jazz poke her head out of the window. "Cyrus?" she said. "Up here." She practically twisted her body out the window to get a look at me. "What are you doing?" I shrugged. "Just enjoying the stars, I guess." She bit her lip. She said, "Well, can I join you?" I shrugged. "Sure." She crawled out and laid down next to me. A shooting star flashed across the sky. She gasped. I smiled. We didn't talk or anything. We just enjoyed the show God decided to put up. She took her hand and wrapped it in mine. I think I just put on a show of my own, with my red face lighting up the sky. Does she feel the same way for me, as I do for her? I hope so, cause I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't by my side. Eventually, I fell asleep. That's when they made their move.
I woke up with someone gagging me and wrestling me to tie me up. I looked over at Jazz. How is she ASLEEP through all of this? Then I saw the dart sprouting from her arm. I swear, if they killed her I will destroy the world! They tied me up and dragged me to a car they stuck a bunch of sedatives in me. But before I fell into unconscienceness, I saw someone pluck the dart out of Jazz's arm and stuck it in his pocket. He had the same clothes as me. He turned to look at me before he laid down next to her. What I saw didn't make any sense. Was that....me?
